Brand guidelines

These brand guidelines are designed to help you use the Trepup brand in your marketing. If you have any questions about the way you can use our brand or wish to make any use of our brand in a way that is not covered by these guidelines, please contact us.
Trepup’s marks include the Trepup name, logo, graphics, and any word, phrase, image, or other designation that identifies Trepup as the source or origin of any product or service.

Do:
Use the black marks as is on light backgrounds.
Use the white marks as is on dark backgrounds.
Use the marks in a readable size.
Keep the marks straight and free of filters and effects.
Maintain a safety space that equals 150% the height of the marks on all sides.
Don't:
Rotate or change the direction of the marks.
Add extraneous effects to the marks.
Alter their proportions or change the color.
Overprint or obstruct any part of the marks.
Use any other marks or logos to represent our brand.
Use Trepup marks for the following:
1.  Promoting your Trepup account
Do:
Use one of the Trepup marks as a link to your account online.
Use one of the Trepup marks with your username nearby in print.
Type followed by your username when you are unable to show the Trepup marks.
Don’t:
Manipulate the Trepup marks.
Use any other artwork from our site.
Create your own buttons or images using our marks unless technically necessary, such as in signature bars. If you do,
use this resized favicon of the Trepup badge mark.
2.  Advertising and marketing
Promote your business on Trepup! When your advertising or marketing materials reference Trepup, please do not suggest Trepup is sponsoring your promotion or formally affiliated with you in any way.
Do:
Read these guidelines if you are going to reference Trepup in any way.
Use the Trepup marks to show that your product is compatible with Trepup.
If you use Trepup as part of a contest or sweepstakes, make sure that it complies with all legal requirements.
Don't:
Display the Trepup marks larger than your own marks.
Suggest that Trepup endorses your product or service.
Overdo it: promotions tend to get old fast.
Encourage spammy behavior, such as asking people to comment.
3.  Naming your business, apps, products, or domains
If you are creating an app, website, or other service designed to be used with Trepup or naming your business, give it a unique name. It is fine to say the product or service is for use with Trepup as long as you pick a distinct brand name for your product.
Don't:
Use "Trepup" as part of your brand name.
Register a domain name containing “trepup”, or any misspellings, transliterations, or similar variations on Trepup.
Apply for a trademark with a name including “Trepup”, or any misspellings, transliterations, or similar variations on Trepup.
Challenge our rights in the Trepup marks.
4.  Visual design of your app or website
Design your app and website, including badges, avatars, and graphics associated with them, with branding and logos that distinguish your brand from ours.
Don't:
Copy our look and feel, as this could create user confusion.
Use any Trepup marks, graphics, or variation designed to evoke them.
5.  Merchandise and manufactured items
We appreciate it when you let people know you are using Trepup!
Do:
Make sure the Trepup marks are not larger than your own branding.
If you use the Trepup marks in your product packaging, include your URL or username.
Don't:
Use the Trepup marks in a confusing way.
Put a space between the first four and the last two letters of the word Trepup.
6.  Books or publications about Trepup
Do:
Make sure the title of your book or publication makes it clear that it is about Trepup, and not created by Trepup.
Don't:
Use the Trepup marks on your cover or in your title.
Use the word Trepup to refer to services other than Trepup.
7.  Displaying Trepup content
When showing Trepup content online (developers and microsite campaigns), offline (static uses and publications), or in broadcast, do not include information from sources other than Trepup, as this may confuse users. Any Trepup content displayed must be real, from real accounts, and in some cases, approved by the author.
Online:
Display the associated content and attribution with images or media. In multiple-image galleries, content can be displayed via hover or touch interaction.
Make sure the content is real, from real accounts, and approved by the author if your microsite campaign is an advertisement and you are curating content.
Offline:
Show the name or username, unmodified content, Trepup mark, and a timestamp.
Display the associated content and attribution with images or media.
Make sure the content is real, from real accounts, and that you have permission from the author when necessary.
If showing screenshots, show only your own profile or business page, Trepup 'About' page, or a page you have permission from the author to show.
In broadcast:
Do:
Make sure the content shown on air includes name or username, and the unmodified text with the Trepup mark nearby.
Display the associated content and attribution with images or media. Multiple-image galleries should be marked clearly as “from Trepup” and provide the name or username.
Don't:
Confuse broadcast with advertisements, which must be approved by the Trepup author.
Delete, obscure, or alter the identification of the user. You may show Trepup content in anonymous form in exceptional cases when there are concerns over user privacy.
8.  Other things to know
Always capitalize the T in Trepup.
Do not use the Trepup marks in your avatar or your Trepup profile or business page.
Do not put the word “Trepup” next to the Trepup badge mark. The badge mark is all that is required.
By using the Trepup marks you agree to follow these guidelines as well as our Terms of Service and all other Trepup rules and policies. The Trepup marks belong to us and you only have a limited right to use the marks as per the terms of these guidelines. Trepup reserves the right to cancel, modify, or change the permission in these guidelines at any time at its sole discretion. If you do not agree to the revised guidelines, please stop using the website and the Trepup marks.
