6.1We use additional technologies such as web beacons (also known as clear GIFs or pixel tags) to help track User activities and preferences. Web beacons (“Web Beacons”) are graphic images with unique identifiers that are embedded invisibly on web pages or emails to help us understand our Users better.
6.2For instance, Web Beacons in the emails we send you help us track if you have opened the email or clicked on links within that email. They can also be used to see if an email was read or forwarded to someone else, or if a web page was copied to another website. This helps us measure the performance of Trepmail, improve our emails and verify your information.
6.3We use data collected using Web Beacons to generate reports concerning the performance of your emails and the actions of your Contacts. When we send you an email, reports are also available to us, so that we can gather and verify that information.
6.4While you do not have the option to opt out of Web Beacons used in web pages, you may limit their use by opting out of the cookies they interact with. For example, you may limit their use in emails by sending emails in text mode only.
6.5We use local storage to facilitate specific functions. However, we do not retain the data captured through local storage.
6.6We also use other technologies that are similar to cookies, such as browser storage and plugins (e.g., HTML5, IndexedDB and Web SQL). Like cookies, some of these technologies may store small amounts of data on your device. We may use these and other technologies for similar purposes as cookies, such as to enforce the Terms of Use and other Policies, prevent malicious activities, and analyze the use of the Platform and Trepup Services. There are ways to control these technologies such as clearing your browser storage, which is an option commonly available under the browser settings option.
