This Trepup Prohibited Items policy establishes clear boundaries for the sale, offer, or advertisement of products and services on our platform, ensuring adherence to both legal standards and ethical practices. By explicitly listing what cannot be transacted within the Trepup ecosystem, this policy is fundamental to fostering a trustworthy, safe, and respectful marketplace environment for our community.

Applicable to all Trepup users, including employees, affiliates, and third-party representatives, this policy is a cornerstone of our commitment to upholding a responsible commercial space. It is designed to be read in tandem with the Terms of Service and the Policies, providing a comprehensive framework for responsible use of the platform. For this policy, all capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms of Service.

In recognition of the vast diversity within the Trepup community, this policy has been developed with an inclusive language policy, mindful of gender neutrality and respectful of both individual and collective identities. Such linguistic precision ensures the policy is welcoming and comprehensible to everyone, embodying our core values of respect and diversity.

Prohibited offerings

Participation on Trepup requires your adherence to the Policies, ensuring that no product or service you engage with breaches any applicable legal standards or regulatory requirements. This commitment to compliance extends to laws related to export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, false advertising, and avoiding any activities considered illegal. Furthermore, you affirm that your offerings on Trepup will not promote activities that could violate any applicable laws or the Policies, reinforcing our shared commitment to maintaining a legally compliant and ethically sound marketplace.

It is your responsibility to ensure all products or services offered on Trepup are lawful, adhering to the legal requirements applicable in both the seller's and buyer's jurisdictions. Consequently, without explicit, prior written consent from Trepup, the following categories are strictly prohibited from being listed, sold, provided, or advertised:

Adult-oriented products and services

Without explicit, prior written consent from Trepup, you must not offer, advertise, list, sell, or provide any of the following on the platform:

  • Products or services containing or involving pornography or sexually explicit materials, to uphold a safe and respectful environment for all users.
  • Offerings related to sexual or escort services, ensuring the platform remains a professional and ethical marketplace.
  • Sex toys and sex accessories, aligning with our commitment to maintaining Trepup's integrity.
  • Memberships to adults-only clubs or establishments, reflecting our values of inclusivity and community safety
  • Any products or services that depict minors (anyone under 18 years old) or characters resembling minors in a sexually suggestive manner, to protect minors' welfare and privacy.
  • Offerings intended for minors that include adult content, profanity, and/or sexual references, prioritizing the well-being of all community members.
  • Items involving bestiality, torture, snuff films, necrophilia, rape, scat, incest, or other illegal or obscene content, real or fictionalized, to comply with legal standards and moral principles.

Drugs and drug accessories

Drugs and drug accessories are prohibited, including

  • alcohol, such as alcoholic beverages or raw alcohol.
  • controlled substances, such as narcotics, opioids, steroids, and any substance listed in Schedules I, II, III, IV, or V of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. §801).
  • medicinal products that are not permitted for over-the-counter sales.
  • tobacco products and electronic cigarettes.
  • products designed for making, preparing, or using controlled substances or drugs, such as bongs, pipes, purity testing kits, pill presses, dies, molds, or capsule-making machines.
  • products designed to fake the results of or defeat drug tests.

Weapons and weapon accessories

Weapons and weapon accessories are prohibited, including

  • guns, such as firearms, rifles, shotguns, black powder guns, muzzleloaders, and air-powered weapons like airsoft, paintball, BB, and dart guns.
  • hand weapons, such as brass knuckles, nightsticks, batons, nunchakus, and other melee weapons.
  • explosive weapons, such as grenades, fireworks, flares, and mines.
  • chemical or biological weapons, including but not limited to pepper spray, tear gas, and other non-lethal agents used for crowd control or personal defense.
  • knives and bladed products designed as weaponry, including butterfly knives, automatic or spring-loaded knives, combat knives, machetes, swords, and spears.
  • electronic weapons, such as tasers, electroshock weapons, stun guns, and directed energy weapons.
  • weapon accessories and manufacturing materials, such as ammunition, silencers, magazine clips, firing pins, gun barrels, launchers, and tactical gear.
  • 3D weapon blueprints, training materials, or instructions for making or modifying weapons.
  • items specifically designed for military use, including tactical armor, advanced combat helmets, and night vision goggles.

Gambling

Gambling items that offer an opportunity to win an item by chance or contest are prohibited, including

  • mystery items, where the contents are unknown to the buyer at the time of purchase.
  • giveaways that require participation for a chance to win prizes.
  • lotteries, where winners are chosen by drawing from a pool of tickets.
  • sweepstakes, where entries are collected over a period and winners are randomly selected.
  • random drawings, where winners are picked randomly from a set of participants.
  • raffles, typically involving the sale of tickets for prizes.
  • contests, where participants compete for prizes based on skill or chance.
  • functional currency-operated slot or gambling machines, including those used in casinos.

Superstition

Intangible items depending on superstition are prohibited, including

  • fortune telling services, including tarot card readings, psychic predictions, and astrology services.
  • someone's soul, or any claims to sell or transfer metaphysical entities.
  • spells, including magic spells, curses, or hexes intended to affect the physical or emotional state of others.
  • haunted items, purported to be possessed by spirits or carrying a curse.
  • ghosts or spirits in a jar, or any items claimed to contain supernatural entities.

Hate speech, offensive and deceptive materials

Hate speech, offensive or deceptive materials are prohibited, including items that

  • are grossly harmful, defamatory, bullying, libelous, threatening or harassing, obscene, offensive, blasphemous, sexually explicit, pornographic, pedophilic, invasive to another's privacy, harmful to minors, racially or ethnically objectionable, disparaging, deceptive, fraudulent, relating to, or encouraging money laundering, gambling or otherwise unlawful in any manner whatsoever.
  • discriminate or promote discrimination based on race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, religion, nationality, disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, or age.
  • promote, incite, glorify, or attempt to profit from human tragedy, violence, or suffering.
  • are insensitive to victims of human tragedy events or disasters.
  • depict child abuse or exploitation.
  • contain or claim to contain real acts of violence, rape, execution, torture, crime scenes, morgues, dead bodies, or body parts of dead persons.
  • imply or promote support or funding of, or membership in, a terrorist organization.

Violations

If you violate this policy, consequences may include

  • immediate account suspension, disabling your access to the platform.
  • termination of your Trepup One plan and cancellation of services.
  • revocation of your license to use Trepup.
  • removal of any content you posted that violates the guidelines.
  • legal action, which may include civil penalties or criminal prosecution.

Reporting of violations

If you observe any violations of this policy on Trepup, please report them through

  • the Report feature available on each listing or post.
  • contacting our support team with details of the violation.
  • following up after a report is made for further investigation.

Additional monitoring and enforcement

To ensure compliance with this policy, Trepup may

  • conduct regular audits and reviews of listings and user activities.
  • utilize automated detection tools to identify potential violations.
  • collaborate with law enforcement for issues involving illegal activities.
